Piñon Midstream, LLC is pleased to announce that it has received approval from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for its monitoring, reporting and verification plan for the permanent sequestration of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, in its two acid gas injection wells located at Piñon’s Dark Horse Treating Facility in Lea County, New Mexico.

Piñon Midstream, LLC is pleased to announce the commissioning of its third 450-GPM amine treating unit, which is now in service at its sour natural gas treating and carbon capture facility, the Dark Horse Treating Facility, located in Lea County, New Mexico. In addition, Piñon has received a critical New Source Review air permit, which enables the execution of additional capital expansion projects at Dark Horse, including construction of Amine Trains IV, V and VI, as well as two cryogenic processing plants.

Piñon Midstream, LLC announced additional expansions to its sour natural gas treating and carbon capture facility located in Lea County, New Mexico.

Piñon Midstream, LLC announced its greenfield sour gas treating and carbon capture facility (the Dark Horse Facility) and its associated pipelines, compressor stations, and acid gas sequestration infrastructure were placed into service with the initial capacity fully subscribed. The facility is operating near its initial treating capacity of approximately 85 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of sour natural gas.

Piñon Midstream, LLC today announced its greenfield Dark Horse Sour Gas Treating and Carbon Capture Facility and associated pipeline infrastructure are under construction in Lea County, New Mexico.
